Tribute WORDS: 368 NOTES: Sorry it's kinda sucky. Lividum
| The young wolf's ears twitched her attention was lifted as she traveled along the fields. She had heard rumors about a lone female starting a pack here. From what was said, it sounded a lot like a pack that the russet wolf's interest would be high in. According to her sources, this canine was strict, ruthless, and a lot like herself in many ways, but different in others. Either way, it was enough for the she wolf to drag herself from the streets and to the abandoned barn where the dog was said to make her headquarters. And if worse comes to worse, hey, she could always move on. There were other lands, other dogs trying to build a home, and she could easily start a little fight to get what she wanted. It was kill or be killed nowadays.
Head raised high, she weaved along the well-grown fields. With the humans not here to trim them, she needed to watch her step. They had grown wildly tall and if she wasn't careful, she could easily step into a trap, and that would just make her day a whole lot worse. Right now, she was intent on finding the leader of this, soon to be , pack. Finally, she came to an old, broken fence that was probably once a nice pasture land for what she considered prey animals to graze. Either way, she wasn't going to let her guard down just yet. With her body held dominantly, she squeezed herself underneath the fence and walked until the old barn came into view. When it did, she plopped herself down about 6 tail lengths from the barn itself.
She didn't want the leader to feel threatened by her or think it was a raid. The russet loner just simply wanted to be a part of her pack and help her out, not stroll in and try and conquer the place. She would let the leader come out to her. Pulling her ears back just a bit to drop some of the dominance, she let out a short, summoning like howl. A voice that told the leader 'come out, i would like to talk' without sounding pushy or commanding. coded by LILITH of ADOXOGRAPHY

0000 . @tribute . yay first meet up!
Home was not a word Singe was quite fond of. It aroused memories she tried her hardest to bury in the deep crevices of her mind. Not that they really bothered her all that much anymore. She wouldn't let them. She had moved on from that part of her life. Her mother was dead and, quite frankly, the aussie wished she would have killed her sooner. Such satisfaction had raced through her body when her mother's pulse cut short. Singe sighed almost inaudibly and rose to her paws with a stretch. Her folded ears pitched forward, searching for anything out of place in this new residency of hers. No, it was not a home. Perhaps it would never be. But with the few dogs who had already joined her, the aussie already felt more relaxed in the old walls of the barn. It was isolated enough to fit her needs, and something about its age delighted her.
Singe paced slowly by the entrance of the rotting wooden building. So far, only a couple of canines had stumbled upon her little oasis. She had challenged all of them, and gave them a choice. To leave, or to stay. Not many had chosen to leave, as now a days, alliances could very well save one's life. Traps littered the island, and food was difficult to come by if one didn't know where to look. She had invited them in, but no one quite trusted each other yet. Singe see to it that those she still didn't trust in a few days' time would be eliminated. Her eyes went to her paws, where her nails plucked at the weathering wood. Her pink tongue ran quickly over her nose before she took a step outside. Most of the land around the old barn was flat and grassy. A fence ran along the treeline not too far away. Once it had been used to keep intruders out. Now, those same intruders have taken it over.
A movement caught her eye before it went out of sight. She tilted her head in mild curiosity. If it were a canine, she'd meet them soon enough. Singe's ears perked when the waves of the howl reached them. Only one wolf had approached her so far, and she had driven that one away. Well, as far as the fence before she dished out a bite that had him reeling. Of course, not because he was a wolf. She couldn't care less what the canine looked like. He just didn't have the fiery spirit in him she was looking for. Just because a wild canine could look intimidating didn't mean they had what it takes. No one had an advantage. Singe stepped out further and her eyes instantly locked with a reddish-looking wolf. From its scent, she could tell it was a female. Slowly, but not cautiously, the australian shepherd made her way to the stranger. In her usual way, Singe held her head high and chest out confidently. Not too much to be a distraction, but enough to show she was the boss around here.
And she knew it.
So when she reached the wolf, her blue and tan eyes searched her. Finally, she opened her jaws to speak. "If you're lost, I'm afraid you've sauntered up to the wrong place," she spoke smoothly, tossing her a narrowed, threatening glare. ✤

Tribute WORDS: 431 NOTES: HERE Lividum
| Her ears twitched and she gave a light, respectful nod of her head when a bit smaller of a canine came up to her. But, it was obviously the Alpha as her head was held high and the confidence beaming at the tips of her fur. The russet wolf knew the types of confidence and judgement this dog had going through her head about herself right now - she had been there before and understood things like that. The dogs steps were confident, but not enough to keep the wolf's eyes on her, just enough to show that she was the Alpha, no funny business from herself. "If you're lost, I'm afraid you've sauntered up to the wrong place," The wolf chuckled slightly, a small smile tugging into the side of her lips. "Sassy." She commented, letting out another light laugh and shaking her head.
Though, she calmed down against quite quickly, ears pulling back as a silent apology in the the slightest if she had offended or provoked said Alphess. "If I was lost, why would I have followed the scent of another group of canines? I don't have a wish to have my tail ripped off and a bunch of unwanted scars. I'm here to see how you lead, to offer myself to your pack." Her ears flicked and she fell silent for a moment, waiting for the fancy question 'what can you do for me' and then she spoke up once more. "I'm a pretty decent hunter, but more or less I can fight. My body is built for stuff like that .Where some dogs are able to run and jump, I can fight with my brute strength and still have a bit of agility and speed. It's a pretty good mix. However, what I try to bring along is a sense of balance to the pack, to keep order as order, no funny business in the ranks. A leader of sorts, of course not over yourself, just enough of a balance to keep the pack in it's best benefit.'
Now that was a bit of a push-over to say to an Alpha, but the russet wolf wasn't here to play games and make friends. She needed a business, a home, a purpose. Any of those things would do, but most don't come without each other unless a price is involved. And, that's not what the she wolf was looking for. She wanted a partnership and quite a few companions. What kind of soldier could she be if she didn't have a pack to defend? coded by LILITH of ADOXOGRAPHY
